In 2022, Harry L Murphy, Inc is celebrating 75 years of continuous operation, making it the longest operating privately held company in the Santa Clara Valley. Founded in 1947 by Harry L Murphy, the company has a storied history of working with some of the most recognizable names in the Bay Area.

With an ever increasing number of projects completed, and millions of square feet of flooring installed, there is no company more qualified and experienced to handle your projects.From 1947 to 1966 Harry L Murphy, Inc. installed flooring in the vast majority of Bay Area homes built by Eichler construction.

Joseph Eichler is primarily known for the more than 11,000 homes his company built in a style that became known as Midcentury Modern. It is less known that he fought tirelessly for fair housing policies, and integrated neighborhoods expanding access to affordable housing across demographics.
